School's In Session In
a market saturated by unispired design, regurgitated themes and
imagery, Public School NYC is the new kid in the class with a full line
of smart, high end casual wear.

If
you have ever walked into Arrive Miami, one of the finest retail spots
on this side of the Atlantic, you would know that they stock an
expertly curated selection of classic staples, and buzzworthy brands
ranging from causual t-shirts to high fashion brands such as the now
defunct Cloak and Maison Martin Margiela.
It may seem odd to have a pair of $65 Nikes next to a pair of
$400 sneakers by Yohji Yamamoto, but for many it all makes sense to
combine "streetwear" and designer goods as the lines of distinction
are getting blurrier every day. It would make sense that Public
School NYC, a new brand from the guys behind Arrive manages to combine
the streetwear aesthetic with the quailty and detail ususally seen on
luxury brands. Coming heavy out the gate, Public School's line consists
not only of t-shirts, but beautiful leather jackets, knits and
buttondowns. The line takes its inspiration from rebellion and
it is clearly refelcted in the collection which gives off an extremely
cool (in the true sense of the word) vibe.
Public
School is avaliable at Barney's New York starting this February.
